GCIS

The Biomedical Sciences is an interdisciplinary cluster of five graduate programs concentrating in basic science research within the general areas of cancer biology, immunology, microbiology, molecular metabolism and nutrition and pathology - specifically cardiovascular pathophysiology and biochemistry in addition to molecular pathogenesis and molecular medicine.  The faculty associated with these programs hold primary appointments throughout many different departments within the biological sciences division.  These faculty offer research opportunities in their laboratories to students and postdocs, direct and teach the program and core curriculum, sit on thesis committees and various administrative committes to form cohesive and comprehensive training programs for our trainees within the cluster.
