The Committee on Microbiology - Activities

Microbiology Seminar Series

The Committee on Microbiology seminar series is held on Wednesdays during the Autumn, Winter and Spring Quarters of the academic year from 12:00-1:00 pm. in the Cummings Life Science Center, Room 119. The seminar series brings prominent microbiologists from all over the world to campus to discuss their research in a public forum, and meet with Microbiology faculty and students.

2012-2013 Seminar Series will resume in September.

Microbiology Research Forum

The Microbiology Research Forum meets Fridays at 12:00 pm during the Autumn, Winter and Spring Quarters in the Cummings Life Science Center, Room 119. The Research Forum features a current graduate student, postdoctoral fellow or other training fellow in Microbiology presenting his or her research data. Lunch and soda are served at the presentations, and they are open to the University community. The Research Forum is a more informal forum for the discussion of microbiology within the Chicago scientific community. Graduate students of the Committee on Microbiology are highly encouraged to attend and participate in the Microbiology Research Forum.

2012-2013 Research Forum will resume in September.
